So, My Little Brother Got Married...
And it was a BLAST. I danced my socks off. There are pictures of me on Facebook doing the Charleston, but none of me and the best man sugar-pushing or jiving. I'm hopeful those show up so I can show you guys. I may be a big girl, but mama can dance.

It was a beautiful ceremony. Not very serious, in the style of my not-serious brother and new sister-in-law. The priest talked about the value of marriage, and how it's a living sacrament... it made me cry a little bit.

My sister A and I did the music, and it got good reviews. A number of my relatives were downright shocked that we were as good as we were, so that was gratifying.

And now I am going to put my very sore feet up and get prepared to do this all again for my best friend next weekend. I feel obligated to party at least as hard as I did this weekend. I don't know if my poor body can take it!

Jump, jive and wail.

When I got married, my hubby isn't much of a dancer, so my sister and I shocked all there by Jitterbugging and Swinging. She was the only other person there that knew how! A great time was had by all. Only problem was that it is hard to do some of the steps in a wedding gown! BTW, if they aren't total klutzes, most big women move very gracefully. We have to. Won a Charleston contest one time. My partner was tall, slender and as gay as they come. I am short, round and totally hetero. But boy, oh boy, could we dance together!

Yay! It sounds like it was a wonderful wedding. Post pictures when you can!

I have something similar to look forward to next month when my baby sister gets married. I know I'm going to cry at some point.

Weddings can be so much fun! (If you're not in charge of making them go perfectly!)

Aw, yay! I'm glad everyone had such a good time and you and your sister were well-received!
Hope you have enough time to rest before the next one! <3
